 "I
just want to give you a little update on Tucker.....He has been working
as a therapy dog here in two of the local orphanages. His personality
and temperament make him perfect for this type of work and the kids
just adore him. Recently, we put on a benefit show to raise money for
some special projects at the Love In Action Orphanage. Tucker was a
magic dragon. While I am usually not a fan of dressing dogs in costumes,
I think you will have to agree that he looks spectacular. He loved
all the attention and applause and I wish you could have seen the looks
on the kids faces. I was in tears most of the night. I just thought
you'd like to know some of the ripple effect of what you're doing.
I'm so lucky to have him.....Mandy, too." ~Jan [Tucker,
Chisum/Chloe 2004] |
 "My
son was fooling around and took these on Christmas Day and I thought
you would like to see my baby girl the day after her 3rd birthday.
The first one is my new computer background now. All of my previous
backgrounds have been of Eden, ever since we brought her home. She
is now 95lbs and about the sweetest disposition anyone could ask for.
She does bark large and scares people at the door and little kids etc,
but that's mostly because she wants to play with them. I don't think
she has an agressive bone in her body. At the dog park she backs away
from those who want to make trouble. But I've seen her hold her ground
and defend her back yard against my son's Ridgebacks when one of them
got after her, so she will get her hair up if it's necessary to defend
what's hers. But she is so sweet, it's hard for me to find any fault
with her at all. ~Bill Bidwell [Eden, Ryan/Lizzie
2007] |
"Things
are going very well. She's been very good about letting us know she
has to go potty. She's just started barking at her toys...it's so
cute. I just tried the crate training and she's not very fond of
that idea. Hopefully she'll get better at it. But she's sleeping
in it now. Other dogs like her, but she'd rather be with me for now.
I'll be spending time out back with her and the others this week.
Have an appt for her first shots this Saturday. Everyone just adores
her. When I took her to see my horse Tucker, they smelled each other,
then she licked his nose...too cute!" [Cali, Ryan/Lizzie 2007] |
"The
puppies are doing great! They traveled very well and slept almost
the entire time. We stopped every few hours so they could get
out of the crate and do their business and stretch and play.
We did put them in the bed of the truck only so they wouldn't
pickup anything along the way. They are eating and drinking well
and playing hard. I called Jennifer and Alex to let them know
their little Pink Girl had arrived in AZ. They are planning on
picking her up next Sunday morning. I kind of know how you feel
because I'm already attached to her too, it will be hard to see
her go, she is very sweet and loving. Mr Green boy is a little
scrapper and stands his own ground...I may end up calling him
Rocky! He is as cute as they come, sweet, loveable and my husband
fell in love with him immediately too. He is very interested in
new things and noises, little Pink Girl tends to run from them
at first but my puppy goes to them right away to check it out." [Rocky & Pink Girl, Ryan/Lizzie 2007] |
"I
just have to share. 15 minutes ago I opened the curtain at my kitchen
door. And there was Rex talking to a deer, nose to nose. I just
stood there and watched them. No one was nervous. It look like
they where wishing each other a nice Christmas, I'd like to think
so. Then the deer went up the mountain and Rex came inside. It
was the nicest Christmas present to have that moment. No camera
around but few minute i will never forget." [Rex,
Taz/Taiya 2000] |
"We
hope you had a great holiday and wanted to let you know we couldn't
be happier with Libby. She's such a great dog and gets along great
with the chihuahuas! She and Wiley even like to share the kennel." [Libby, Ryan/Lizzie 2006] |
"Susi, "Rocky" is
absolutely everything I dreamed of. He is so sweet, beautiful, funny,
very smart and really keeps me busy. I couldn't be happier with him.
I've been working with him off the leash outside and calling him
back to me (prepairing him to go hiking) and he's responding very
well. He weighs about 35 pounds now and loves to take flying leaps
in the air, run across the backyard and he's also smart enough to
stay away from the horses, which I've set boundaries for him to do.
I took him over to my friends new property Saturday for most of the
day. They have 10 acres with a good size area fenced in too. We hiked
all over and down in the wash and up the other side. He went along
real good and even saw some cows over the fence. My husband, John
adores him too. At Rocky's quiet moments, he lays by John on the
couch and loves his belly scratched, then falls asleep. At this point,
he's house broke, has be en for a while as long as I pay attention.
He would much rather go outside. I tell him, "outside, good
boy". He's plenty tall enough
to look out the window when he's sitting up in my truck now and he
travels excellent too and really enjoys going places and continues
to meet and greet people perfectly. He truly is my special angel." [Rocky,
Ryan/Lizzie 2007] |
"Just
to let you know that these guys (Tucker & Mandy) make me thankful
everyday! I'm so glad they're in my life. So on this day of thanks,
I wanted to express my appreciation to you." [Mandy, Indy/Jake 2006
& Tucker, Chisum/Chloe 2004] |
"Hi Susi, Wanted to let you know that it is becoming difficult to walk Sparta due to the number of people that stop us and ask about him. I usually get at least one person asking about him a day. I get someone that seems serious about getting a Shiloh about once a week, and they get referred to your website, along with Shilohs.org. If this keeps up, I will have to walk him more in the hills, and not in the neighborhood. I can only imagine what will happen when he achieves full size! Sparta remains a very good natured goy, we are very happy here!" [Sparta,

"Dear Grammie Susi, I earned an APDT Rally Obedience Title and got 4 beautiful ribbons, one for my title, one for 4th place, and 2 for qualifying scores, and I got an awesome squeaky toy too! My mom meant business today and she told me no acting crazy in the ring like I did yesterday and I did a very good job. My mom and I hope that Lizzie is doing well, we are thinking of her and wishing her a safe delivery. We are very excited and we can't wait for my little sister!! Excuse my mom's picture in the photo, it was a long weekend and we worked hard for my title! Love you! Koda" [5/14/08] [click on pic to enlarge][Koda,

"I would like to say thank you to Susi for making it possible for me to add Koda to my family. In my search for a Shiloh Shepherd puppy, I met Susi and I was instantly impressed with her expertise regarding the Shiloh Shepherd breed. Susi has always made herself available to me for any questions or concerns that I have. She is always patient with me and she has been an endless source of help and knowledge. Susi makes the health and well being of her dogs, and the betterment of the Shiloh Shepherd breed, her highest priority. She is careful to match the temperament of her puppies to each prospective new owner assuring the perfect match. Koda is a wonderful dog and companion and he has added so much happiness to my life. I have experienced two very difficult personal losses of family members in the past two years and I am not sure how I would have made it without Koda's love. He is my biggest joy in life. He is definitely a people magnet and wherever we go he is surrounded by people who want to meet him and get to know him. His favorite activity is playing Jolly Ball and he literally dances and prances around the yard with his ball and he will bring it to me as many times as I will throw it for him. We have done obedience training together and we have participated in APDT Rally Obedience trials. Koda is also a registered therapy dog and we make visits to a local nursing home as he has a very special affection for eldery people. He always brings a smile to everyone he meets. I can't say enough about my sweet special boy, I am just so very glad that he is in my life!" Alana [Koda,

"Zayn is such a unique dog......he is my best buddy! He has always enjoyed country living.....either in the California mountains for the Arizona desert. He enjoys our daily three mile early morning walks while chasing rabbits with his brother "Max", an adopted Australian Shepherd mix, going for a ride in the car, playing tag with the burros, keeping me company in my office during the day, sleeping out at night under the canopy of stars....he is a happy camper! He still has a mind of his own, and doesn't ALWAYS come when called (only when he sees a another dog in a truck)....but perfect in every other way. Hope you are still producing other awesome dogs like Zayn." Best, Ginger Sattler Benson, AZ |

"
Hi Susie,
Have you got a minute? I simply MUST brag on our dogs and need for you to be impressed!!!
Last FRI night we went out with a few friends from work - all dog people of course. Everybody was telling dog stories. One of the guys, who has 2 GS dogs, told us how obedient his Shepherds are - stop in the middle of their step when getting read to chase a cat, never leave the yard etc…Him and his wife told us, that they had one night forgotten to close the garage door when the went out for dinner and when they come back - 2 hours later, then their 2 Shepherds sat like statues in the end of their driveway , waiting for them…We were all very impressed by this event and Jim and I were joking about it when driving home. We both agreed, that ALL of our dogs would welcome an open door to go on an excursion and nobody would sit in the driveway - if that ever happened…
Next morning, I took the first "travel group" of dogs to the canal, when we came back, I left the door of our doggie-mini-van open, out the dogs in the house, let Neptune (the Pyr) Tinian and Triton into the pool area, closed the gate (as I thought…) and gave the first dogs their pills, milk, fresh water - as usual. After about 3-4 min. I was ready for the second excursion with the boys and I left the house through the front door to go to the side and put on their leashes and get them into the mini van…HOWEVER< as I turned around the corner, heading towards the pool gate, I realized it was open - and what do you know:
Neptune was laying in the mini van, wagging his tail at me and directly at the open gate I saw 4 little Shiloh Shepherd front feet in a straight line: there they both laid, basically at the threshold of the backyard, open gate and all - and waited for me…I am not sure whether I "purposely" did not lock the gate promptly (just to SEE what MY dogs would do) - or what, but anyway, I am SOOOO proud of my 3 boys - and I will have to suggest we go out again with the same people, so that I can tell this impressive story to them…Don't we have great dogs…?
We hope, life is good at your beautiful place and all your newest puppies found good homes…? " --Warmest regards from PROUD doggie-mommy, Gaby [Tinian & Titan,
Ryan/Lizzie 2006]
